RULES & DETAILS
A Foreword:
Our first treasure hunt called the "Loot Quest" began 9/6/2025! As with all firsts, it was a learning experience.
Its obvious that Utah is no stranger to treasure hunts, and there are a lot of experienced treasure hunters here. That said, we want our
treasure hunt to provide a unique experience!
Each hunt will feature a different style that we hope people will find fun as they try to solve the puzzle for the hunt!
Loot Quest Kick-Off
Our Loot Quests will be always be available on our website. We will announce the release on Instagram, but the actual place to view the Loot Quest is on our website. Once it starts, it is free game. There are no stages or phases of the Loot Quest. It begins, and then ends once someone has found it. Boundaries will be provided the same time it is released. There will not be "zooming in" of boundaries as a hint later on.
Participation
It is completely free to participate, and anyone can participate.
No subscription, no purchases to receive a clue, no paying to enter
any area, no bribes (well... wait, no). If you find yourself at any point wondering if you need to purchase something in order to find
the loot, remember that it is completely free to participate.
No age requirements. If you can solve it and find it, you can have it.
The only tools you should need to participate are your wits and your phone. Old school pen and paper never hurt either.
Clues/Hints
The Loot Quest stands on its own and is separate in relation to our Loot Drops. Meaning, you will not find hints on previous posts or drops. A reminder, we do try to make our hunts challenging, but with that said, we release hints as we see fit if the loot has not been found yet. When hints do come out, they will be released on our Instagram account and on our website simultaneously. There is no email subscription, just releases and hints through our Instagram account & website.
Concerns of Safety
Do not expect to have to perform any real strenuous activity. This includes having to climb, traverse rough terrain, or hike for an
extended period of time. Someone specifically asked if they should expect to have to hike a trail for an hour or two to get to the loot:
Do not expect to have to hike for an hour to get to the loot. Loot will never be hidden on private property.
EXCEPTION: Our Loot Mini-Quests may include looking for clues and loot in a privately owned land like a retail plaza or shopping area
(Example: Jordan Landing in West Jordan.) In this case, we ask permission to conduct a hunt on the property.
Consideration for Others
Starting now and going forward for any hunt that you participate in, we ask to always be respectful and considerate of others and surroundings. We hope that with time, this page grows into a small community that enjoys the search for loot and prizes, and that is uplifting and fun. We also hope that you'd respect the people and places you may run into along the way. At the end of the day, everyone is just trying to have a little fun solving some puzzles and doing some code cracking to find a prize. And honestly, so are we! We want to have fun doing this for others, and feel like we are contributing to the community in this way. Please be patient with us as we try to improve how we do this as well!
